The Record Keeping Practice Framework for Nursing Assistants was developed for Nursing Assistants (NA) to facilitate the maintenance of high quality record keeping. It applies to both new and existing NA across all care settings. Offering assurance that the NA has the ability to record delegated care.

Record keeping is an integral part of delegated care. There is a requirement set out that the NA is competent in both the provision of care and the recording of that care. Delegation of these must be in the best interests of the person.
