Recording Care

Recording Care was led and coordinated by NIPEC from 2009 to when it was closed down in 2021, supporting the production of the ‘Standards for person centred nursing and midwifery record keeping practice’ and PACE resources.  The overarching aim of the Recording Care Project and more recently Transforming Nursing and Midwifery Data work centred on the transformation of nursing and midwifery practice to lead and implement change relating to data capture.

‘PACE’ (Person-centred Assessment, Care planning and Evaluation) Framework was the product of a ‘ground up’ iterative process, that is used in conjunction with exisiting nursing practice theory, incorporating relevant risk assessments.
