The Respiratory Competence Assessment Tool (R-CAT) was developed during 2008 to assist nurses and midwives build competence in relation to the care and management of patients/ clients with Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) needs. It is based on learning needs arising from the Respiratory Health and Well-being Service Framework (RHWSF) standards for service delivery in Northern Ireland.

To complete the R-CAT online at you must be registered on the site to view the competence assessment tools section which is located on the left hand menu bar.
