NIPEC staff joined together in their James House offices during World Quality Week to celebrate the publication of the Annual Quality Report (AQR).
This year has been an exciting one for NIPEC with the launch of the Quality Strategy: Lead, Inspire, Improve. The NIPEC commitment to quality is stronger than ever with the strategy setting out NIPEC’s ambitions for staff and partners to work together to deliver excellence and enhance organisational learning. The strategy is supporting the delivery of the NIPEC Corporate Plan.

Brenda Carson, Senior Professional Officer highlighting the AQR
Linda Kelly NIPEC Chief Executive, commented:
“In the AQR we share examples of the collaborative efforts of our dedicated staff and outline the progress we have made over the last year across many different areas. This includes the launch at the Chief Nursing Officers (CNO) Conference of the Collective Leadership Framework for Nurses and Midwives, along with the Maternity Support Worker (MSW) Standards and Education Competency Framework. These two key regional initiatives reinforce how we are continuing to collaborate with our partners to always improve our work.”
Brenda Carson, the Senior Professional Officer who leads NIPEC’s quality improvement work echoed Linda’s comments and said:
“We are continuing to work on a number of initiatives that will help nursing and midwifery staff to further embrace continuous improvement in their roles. The AQR gives an overview of some of this regional work in the last year.”
