Health Minister meets with NIPEC
Mike Nesbitt met with NIPEC Chief Executive and NIPEC Council Members recently to discuss NIPEC’s ongoing work.
Linda Kelly, NIPEC Chief Executive and Bronagh Scott, Chair of NIPEC’s Council, welcomed the Minister to the NIPEC offices in James House, Belfast, before the Minister had a tour of the offices and chatted to some of the staff.
During the meeting that followed, the Minister was able to hear about a number of NIPEC projects that are supporting the ‘Stabilise, Reform, Deliver’ the three-year strategic plan for health and social care. NIPEC work focuses on promoting high standards of professionalism, practice, education and advice for nurses and midwives.
Linda Kelly shared information on the NIPEC Projects for 2025-2026 which includes: further development of career frameworks and pathways, promoting the Nursing and Midwifery Collective Leadership Framework, developing a quality excellence assurance framework, establishing a learning and development framework to progress workforce/workload planning and development along existing and new models of care.
