The Corporate Plan/Strategy is usually a rolling document which outlines the current and anticipated challenges facing the organisation over the next three years, the key planning assumptions that have been made and NIPEC’s strategic priorities and corporate areas which will take the organisation forward over this period. The 2017-21 version was extended by one year (for 2021-22) due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the HSC. Further advice will issue on the requirement for development of new Corporate Plans following the formation of a new Northern Ireland Executive and agreement on a new Programme for Government (PfG). Within this context the Chief Nursing Officer, DoH, has advised that NIPEC should extend the extant Corporate Plan 2017 – 2021 by a further year, to 31 March 2023.
