Senior Professional Officer
Fiona Bradley is a Senior Professional Officer in NIPEC.
Fiona is a Registered Midwife working within a senior regional midwifery role in Northern Ireland.
Fiona began her professional career in nursing as a Registered General Nurse before embarking on her midwifery career in 1985. She worked in a wide variety of hospital and community maternity care settings for sixteen years. During this time, she completed a BSc in Health Studies at Queens University Belfast and an MSc in Health Promotion at Ulster University.
Fiona changed direction into education and commenced a new role in the HSC Clinical Education Centre (CEC) as a Midwife Education Consultant in 2003. She successfully achieved a Post Graduate Certificate in Education with commendation at Ulster University in 2004 and was appointed as a Senior Education Manager in 2012.
In 2019, Fiona was appointed as a Senior Professional Officer in NIPEC. Her remit includes Midwifery, Children’s Nursing, Safeguarding, Public Health and education.
Fiona successfully completed the Scottish Improvement Leader (ScIL) Programme in 2021.
