NIPEC has established a Regional Career Pathway Governance Group, chaired by Nicki Patterson, Executive Director of Nursing, South Eastern HSC Trust and comprising Senior Nursing and Midwifery representation from stakeholder organisations including the DoH, Independent and Voluntary sector, HSC Trusts, Public Health Agency, Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority, Royal College of Nursing and Royal College of Midwifery, UNISON, UNITE, Clinical Education Centre, Queen’s University Belfast, Ulster University and the Open University.
The main purpose of this Group is to ensure that any relevant nursing or midwifery careers work being led or co-ordinated by staff across the health and social care system is linked to and/or included in the Northern Ireland Career Pathway for Nursing and Midwifery via NIPEC.
